Mixed Nuts Butter Cookies

There are unlimited home made finger food recipes ideas ranging from salty snacks to desserts, dipping sauces to smoothies, deep fry recipes to fat free salad sandwiches. Mixed Nuts Butter Cookies is also an excellent bite size finger food snack. This finger food recipe is very easy to follow and takes very less efforts and time. Especially you can treat your kids with these tasty cookies as an evening snack or while travelling.


  • 4 cups all purpose floor
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered white sugar
  • 2 cups butter, softened
  • 2 medium size eggs
  • 2 tea spoons almond extract
  • 1/2 cup almond paste
  • 1/2 cup cashew paste
  • 1 1/2 oz sliced cashews
  • 1 1/2 oz sliced Pistachio
  • 1 1/2 oz chopped walnuts
  • 1 1/2 oz sliced almonds


Preheat the oven at 350 deg F. Take butter in a large mixing bowl, add sugar gradually into the butter and keep beating it until becomes fluffy. Beat egg yolks and egg white in separate bowls. Add almond paste, cashew paste & almond extract into the egg yolks and beat the mixture until turns out smooth. Now, add this egg mixture to butter bowl. Add the floor gradually and mix all the ingredients together thoroughly. Cookie dough is ready.

Lightly grease a baking pan and fill the cookie dough into the pan uniformly. Brush the entire surface of cookie dough with beaten egg whites. Mix sliced almonds, cashews, pistachios and walnuts together and sprinkle them over the dough. Put the baking pan inside the oven. Bake it for approx 35-40 minutes until turns light brown. Turn off the oven, take the pan out and allow it to cool. Cut the cookies into small square or diamond shape.
